In the summer of 2010 God started to burden our hearts for the orphan crisis. He started to speak to each of us about all the children, His children who are without homes, families and hope.
Enter ADOPTION! Some of our friends had adopted internationally and while we always talked of adopting some day, we didn't expect some day to be quite so soon! With our oldest not quite 3 and our youngest not even a year old we hesitated in starting this process. But very clearly God gave us both a peace and a strong conviction that now was indeed the time!
After much prayer and discussion we chose our Agency, America World, and continued to pray about what country we would adopt from. In the end Scott felt such a draw and had such a love for the African people that we knew it would be an african nation. And our agency offers an Ethiopia program, so thats where we are headed. Where our hearts have now been forever tied to and where our baby's heritage will always be!
